Hannover (dpa / lni) - Hannover 96 continued the negative run in the 2nd Bundesliga.

With the 1: 2 (0: 0) on Friday against SV Darmstadt 98, Lower Saxony lost five of the last six games.

With only 39 points, the ambitious North Germans remain on a disappointing 13th place in the table.

96 striker Marvin Ducksch scored in the 49th minute for a 1-0 lead.

Marvin Mehlem (55th) and Mathias Honsak (68th) turned the game for the bottom of the table.

In a largely uneventful first half, the guests had the chance to take the lead after just two minutes.

Honsak failed free in front of 96 goalkeeper Michael Esser.

In a much more active second half, Hannover quickly took the lead.

An attempt by Hendrik Weydandt blocked the Darmstadt defense in the direction of Ducksch, who easily scored the 1-0 (49th).

Six minutes later, Fabian Holland fit perfectly into Mehlem's run, who equalized with a shot into the far corner.

Honsak turned the game around in the 68th minute when he gave Esser no chance from just eleven meters.

There was no longer a final offensive from the team of the outgoing coach Kenan Kocak at the end of the season.
