"The Investigative Committee of Russia is ready to provide the necessary assistance to the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany upon receipt of a new request from German colleagues for legal assistance in cases of Nazi crimes during the Great Patriotic War," RIA Novosti quoted Petrenko as saying.

She noted that Russian investigators had already carried out a large amount of investigative measures, having studied a significant array of materials, and also received expert opinions, generally testifying to massive punitive operations carried out by the Nazis.

She added that the Investigative Committee of Russia already has experience of interaction with representatives of justice of the Federal Republic of Germany, which is implemented within the framework of powers in the field of international cooperation.
