Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - In the turmoil around DOSB President Alfons Hörmann, the Hessian regional association boss Rolf Müller has now also criticized the leadership culture at the German Olympic Sports Confederation.

"Despite all the reluctance to face the anonymous letter, one must ask the question whether the leadership's personality structure is suitable for leading people with respect," said Müller of the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung".

The trigger for the unrest was an anonymous letter on behalf of DOSB employees, in which Hörmann in particular was heavily attacked.

Müller said he was not surprised by the harsh criticism.

«You shouldn't react hastily, i.e. reflexively, but a change seems necessary.

Maybe mediation will help, ”said the regional manager.

His North Rhine-Westphalian counterpart Stefan Klett had called for Hörmann's resignation and new elections at «sportschau.de» in view of the allegations.

The authors of the letter, the receipt of which the DOSB has confirmed, speak of a “culture of fear” in the association and complain about the alleged lack of respect and fair play in the management bodies.

Hörmann announced a quick clarification of the matter.

The presidium and the board of the umbrella association expressed their confidence in the 60-year-old on Friday.

Top functionary Müller warned: “I assume that such a letter, which is supposed to be backed by a large number of employees, signals that there is a lot of pressure in the boiler.

If that should be the leadership culture, then it doesn't work at all. "

The DOSB only cares too much about the Olympics.

“He shouldn't stop doing that, but 99 percent of its members never come to the Olympics.

He should take care of them appropriately, »warned Müller.
