Dresden (dpa / sn) - The German volleyball master Dresdner SC loses national player Camilla Weitzel.

As the club announced on Friday, the 20-year-old is moving abroad.

The middle blocker came from Landau to the federal base in Dresden in 2013 and made the leap into the first division team in 2017.

"I've been in Dresden for a long time now, which I will always hold in my heart," said Weitzel, who won two cups and a championship title with the DSC.

DSC head coach Alexander Waibl would have liked Weitzel to have been on the team longer.

At the same time it became known that the national player is moving to Italy.

Last year's sixth in the A1 league, Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri, also announced on Friday that Weitzel had been signed for the coming season.
