The Russian Ministry of Health has included two vaccines in its recommendations for the treatment of COVID-19

“The section on specific prophylaxis of infection in adults has been supplemented with information on the inactivated whole-virion concentrated purified coronavirus vaccine“ CoviVac ”and the Sputnik Light vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19,” the statement said.

At the same time, hydroxychloroquine was excluded from the list of possible drugs for the treatment of coronavirus within the framework of the relevant recommendations.

On May 6, the Russian Direct Investment Fund announced that a single-component vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik Light was registered in Russia.

The KoviVac vaccine was registered in Russia on February 20.
