Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - On the A66 near Wiesbaden, according to the fire department, there were several rear-end collisions with gawkers after a truck accident.

At the height of a construction site on the Salzbachtal Bridge, a truck drove into a transporter on Thursday afternoon and pushed it into another truck, the fire brigade said.

The driver of the van was seriously injured in the impact and was taken to a hospital.

While the emergency services were working at the scene of the accident, there were reportedly two rear-end collisions in oncoming traffic.

Another person suffered serious injuries and was taken to a clinic.

The fire brigade was on site with 20 emergency services.
