Lingen (dpa / lni) - The woman must have really frozen: A 76-year-old from Lingen in Emsland tried to warm up her nightgown in the oven.
The woman put her nightgown in the oven on Thursday evening and turned on the oven, the police said on Friday.
The problem: The shirt not only got warm, it caught fire and smoked heavily.
A stroller noticed the smoke and alerted the rescue workers, then he helped the woman extinguish the fire and took her outside.
The 76-year-old was hospitalized with suspected smoke inhalation.
