Schleswig (dpa / lno) - The food-pleasure-restaurants union (NGG) in Schleswig-Holstein has warned not to discriminate against employees vaccinated against the coronavirus.

There are first cases that those affected in the hospitality industry are not used to work and they are threatened with financial disadvantages, said the union secretary of the NGG region Schleswig-Holstein North, Lisa Vordermeier-Weinstein, on Friday.

Many of them would like to be vaccinated, but it is not yet their turn.

"It is scandalous that these colleagues are not used to work in some places."

Since there is no compulsory vaccination, the employer cannot take any action against those who have not been vaccinated or who do not intend to.

"The employer is therefore contractually bound to work - with or without a vaccination -" said Vordermeier-Weinstein.

"There must be no discrimination in the workplace based on vaccination status."
