Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Saxony-Anhalt is loosening the corona rules for districts and urban districts, whose seven-day incidence is stable below 100, from the weekend.

The outdoor catering should then be able to reopen, as Health Minister Petra Grimm-Benne (SPD) announced on Friday.

Certain outdoor events as well as tourist stays should be possible.

The requirement is a negative corona test, plus hygiene rules and access restrictions.

The regulation comes into force on Saturday and ends on May 24th.

Thus, the federal emergency brake will fall in Magdeburg on Sunday, explained Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU).

For five days, the state capital has had an incidence of less than 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days.

Specifically, there is a multitude of openings in the social space for Magdeburg.

Swimming pools and bathing establishments are allowed to open their outdoor area;

in the field of sport, outdoor training with up to 25 people would be possible;

and with model projects, for example, further opening steps can also be tested in closed rooms.

Hotels and cultural institutions are conceivable here, said Grimm-Benne.

In the open outdoor catering, the number of guests at a table is limited to six.

Most of the districts and cities in Saxony-Anhalt are initially not affected by the new state ordinance.

From 100 infections per week and 100,000 inhabitants, the so-called federal emergency brake applies in the districts with strict rules such as night exit restrictions.
