Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The Indian variant of the corona virus was detected for the first time in a married couple in Düsseldorf.
The two had entered from India in April, according to the city.
Despite negative corona tests, they went into quarantine - as the official requirements provide.
Since the couple is still in self-isolation, the city said they had no further contacts.
The Indian variant (B.1.617) has already been proven several times in Germany.
