Although figures from the South African Ministry of the Environment show that poaching in the country has decreased by 33% by 2020, nature reserves in the country fear that hunting of rhinos will increase.

A total of 304 rhinos were poached in the country, which is the lowest figure since 2011. The decrease is believed to be due to the pandemic and the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus.

But as travel restrictions ease, the parks are worried that poaching will pick up speed again.

And since it is the horns of rhinos that poachers are looking for - you simply saw them.

In the video above you can see more about the dehorning of rhinos.
