Already now, several regions have started or secretly started the last phase of the mass vaccination, phase 4. In Region Östergötland, it is expected to be able to start with that phase during the last week of May.
- We could vaccinate further than we do now if we had more doses, says Rickard Lundin.
1,300 want to be vaccinated
Throughout the spring, the health service has worked to secure the staffing issue.
A total of 1,300 people have shown interest in helping with the vaccination.
- About 1,000 of them are nurses and doctors.
We are very happy for this positive response we have received.
It feels safe with the staff as it looks right now, says Rickard Lundin.
