Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Just in time for the beginning of the Whitsun holidays in Saxony-Anhalt, the state government wants to create the conditions for the first relaxation of the corona rules in Saxony-Anhalt.

At a press conference today, Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) and Health Minister Petra Grimm-Benne (SPD) want to present the new state corona ordinance, which is due to come into force on Monday.

However, the rules of the new ordinance will only apply where the so-called federal emergency brake no longer applies: In rural districts and urban districts where the seven-day incidence is below 100 on five consecutive working days. So far, this is only foreseeable in Saxony-Anhalt for the state capital Magdeburg: If the value there remains below 100 on Friday, the strict rules of the federal emergency brake will be suspended on Sunday.

On Tuesday, the state government announced that it would allow easing in the districts below the federal threshold.

For example, outdoor restaurants and certain tourist offers such as campsites and holiday apartments should be allowed to open there under strict guidelines.

Model projects for opening concepts should then be allowed again.

In addition, more sport should be possible outside again and the swimming pools should be allowed to open their outdoor areas.
