Forbach (dpa / lsw) - A campaign by the ADAC that starts today at the start of the motorcycle season in Forbach (Rastatt district) is promoting more consideration.

With more than 200 large signs, the Autoclub, the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg and the "Pay attention in traffic" campaign want to encourage motorcyclists to think more about residents and those seeking relaxation who suffer from the noise of the sometimes overly loud machines.

The campaign will be opened with, among others, State Police President Stefanie Hinz.

Many communities on the particularly popular biker routes in the Black Forest, the Swabian Alb or in the Odenwald no longer want to accept motorcycle noise.

The campaign is another attempt to reconcile local residents and motorcyclists.

The noise protection officer of the state government, Thomas Marwein, attributes the drastic worsening of the situation to the significantly increased number of motorcycles registered in recent years, but also to increasingly louder machines.
