06 May 2021 A 36-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of 33-year-old Ylenia Lombardo found dead in her apartment in via Ferdinando Scala, in the municipality of San Paolo Belsito.

The half-carbonized body of the woman was found yesterday evening in her home.


The woman would be beaten and then devoured by the flames from the waist up.

Investigations are underway by the soldiers of the Compagnia di Nola.




 The woman lived alone. To give the alarm, a group of boys who, on the other side of the sidewalk of this long road that crosses the Neapolitan town, saw smoke coming out of the windows of the house and immediately broke down the door and called the soldiers of the Arma . Ylenia was originally from Pago del Vallo di Lauro, in the Avellino area, and was the mother of a child who lives in Rome with her maternal grandmother. Ylenia Lombardo had moved for more than a year to a small house in the municipality of Naples and worked as a caregiver.
