Hanover (dpa / lni) - Numerous representatives of the tourism industry in Lower Saxony have come together to demonstrate a clear perspective in the Corona crisis.

On Thursday, hotels and restaurants across the country want to hang white sheets and tablecloths out of the windows to draw attention to their plight.

This was announced by the “We show the flag” initiative, in which the tourism associations and the Dehoga regional association are participating.

Before the state parliament in Hanover, the alliance wants to hand over his demands to Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD).

"The gradual opening of tourism in Lower Saxony, which has now been announced by the state government, is definitely a first step in the right direction, but there is a lack of feasibility and clarity in detail," said Ulrich von dem Bruch, Managing Director of Lüneburger Heide GmbH, before the day of action.

Daily corona tests in the hotels, for example, cannot be represented and the planned restriction to visitors from Lower Saxony is unrealistic.
