Berlin (dpa) - Hertha BSC has scored three important points in the fight against relegation from the Bundesliga.

In the second game after a 14-day corona quarantine, the Berliners won their home game on matchday 30 on Thursday 3-0 (2-0) against SC Freiburg.

Krzysztof Piatek (13th), Peter Pekarik (22nd) and Nemanja Radonjic (85th) scored the goals for the hosts' seventh win of the season.

Three days after the 1-1 draw at FSV Mainz 05 and thus four points from two games, coach Pal Dardai's team improved to 14th place in the table, but is level on points with the following SV Werder Bremen and Arminia Bielefeld.

Hertha welcomes the Bielefeld team to the Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
