Dresden (dpa / sn) - Three female wolves were equipped with transmitter collars in Saxony this spring.

"Cora", "Rona" and "Lea" were captured in March at the Oberlausitz military training area and had their transmitters switched, said the Wolf department of the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology in Dresden on Thursday.

However, "Cora" lost her collar after a short time, so that no more data can be received from her.

The first data evaluations showed that “Cora” and “Rona” used the entire eastern part of the Upper Lusatia military training area.

It is believed that the wolf women are sisters.

This is currently being genetically investigated.

«Lea» is an eleven month old female puppy from the area of the Nochten pack.

Because she has only been wearing her transmitter for a short time, no statements can yet be made about which area the she-wolf uses.
