Kirchenlamitz (dpa / lby) - After washing the laundry, part of the pieces was stolen from a woman in Upper Franconia.
According to the police on Thursday, the 72-year-old wanted to hang up the fresh laundry on the upper floor of her house in Kirchenlamitz (district of Wunsiedel) to dry.
Since the entire load was too heavy for her, she put some of the laundry on the stairs next to the front door on the first floor.
A hitherto unknown person took this opportunity and stole the bed linen, a men's jacket and other items of clothing that had been left behind.
The thief got into the house on Wednesday, it said.
The police put the value of the stolen laundry at around 100 euros.
