Chinanews.com, May 6, according to the website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued a notice on identifying the first batch of pilot cities for the coordinated development of smart city infrastructure and smart connected vehicles.

The notice mentioned that on the basis of the declaration of each city and the review by the provincial competent authority, after organizing expert review and field research, 6 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, and Wuxi were identified as smart city infrastructures and smart networks. The first batch of pilot cities for the coordinated development of automobiles.

  The notice pointed out that the pilot cities are requested to formulate and improve the pilot work plan in accordance with relevant requirements, and report to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the record after expert review and approval.

Pilot cities should establish and improve overall planning and coordination mechanisms, implement funds and other safeguards, to ensure that the pilot work achieves results, and form reproducible and extendable experience.

Relevant provincial-level housing and urban-rural construction, industry, and information technology departments should increase their guidance and support to pilot cities.
