Marine Le Pen announced Thursday in Trinité-sur-Mer the rallying, as head of the RN list in Morbihan for the regional elections in June, of the Breton businessman Florent de Kersauson, brother of the navigator Olivier, and longtime friend of the Le Pen family.

The head of the RN and candidate for the Elysee, visibly delighted to return to the hometown of her father Jean-Marie Le Pen, where she spent many summers, said in a press point "very happy" to see Mr. de Kersauson "give us his confidence" when "he was not at the RN and made the choice to join us".

Founder of the Route du Rhum, a single-handed transatlantic sailing race, Florent de Kersauson, aged 71, explained that he joined the RN - without taking his card - out of "disgust" for the Republicans for whom he "voted for 40 years ".

"I voted for Marine Le Pen for the first time in 2017. I did not trust Emmanuel Macron" and "today the image of the RN has changed".

Florent de Kersauson worked for 20 years at Alcatel before heading a portfolio management company, Nestadio Capital, for which he was fined in September by the AMF by the AMF, together with a ban on exercising the law. profession of manager or director of a management company for 5 years.

His brother Olivier de Kersauson learned to sail on Jean-Marie Le Pen's former boat, "General Cambronne", of which he will become the regular skipper, according to the former president of the FN (now RN).

This is Marine Le Pen's second trip for the regional election campaign, after the one in the North at the beginning of April.

Brittany is a land of conquest for the candidate for the Elysee, who had collected 24.6% of the vote in the second round of the presidential election in 2017 (-9.4 points compared to her national score) and 17.3 % in 2019 Europeans (-6 points).

Morbihan is the Breton department where it achieved its best scores in 2017.

Marine Le Pen last visited Brittany in June 2020, on the Ile de Sein, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the appeal of June 18 by General De Gaulle, long fought by his party.
