Potsdam (dpa / bb) - With Eva Menasse, another prominent writer is coming to the “Open Air Literature Festival LIT: potsdam”.

Born in Vienna, she will present her work at this year's festive event on June 4th and also give a sample of her upcoming novel "Dunkelblum", as the organizers announced on Thursday.

They also announced further program details for the festival, which will take place from June 1st to June 6th. For example, around 20 experts from the book and media scene as well as decision-makers from the cultural departments of the European embassies will come to the opening conference on May 31st on the subject of “Writing and Publishing in the Digital Age”. After the canceled book fairs due to the corona pandemic, the organizers are hoping for a "real industry meeting".

The festival, which has the motto «Strong words.

Beautiful places »is planned as an open air in gardens of Potsdam villas, the Barberini Museum, the Kulturquartier Schiffbauergasse and the Babelsberg Park with hygiene and distance rules.

Events in Brandenburg schools are also planned.

Several well-known authors have been announced for the entire festival, including Daniel Kehlmann, Ingrid Noll, Melanie Raabe, Bernhard Schlink and Lutz Seiler.
