Hanover (dpa / lni) - The parents' councils of the Lower Saxon grammar schools are calling for a return to regular school operations as soon as possible.

The weeks with corona rapid tests had shown that schools were not hotspots for infections, wrote the Association of Parents' Councils of Lower Saxony's high schools in a message.

The Ministry of Culture should order, after a short transition phase in scenario B with alternating instruction, to switch back to scenario A with face-to-face instruction.

The students had not been in schools for several months;

Otherwise it would be difficult to compensate for the negative consequences.

The parents' councils suggested that the fifth and sixth grades, as well as the final grades, should be fully taught in schools more quickly.

After switching to secondary schools, these classes have so far hardly had the opportunity to find their way into their schools and class communities.
