Herrenberg (dpa / lsw) - A learner driver crashed into a wall on a motorcycle in the Böblingen district and was seriously injured.

As a police spokesman said on Thursday, the 18-year-old woman is likely to have pressed the throttle too hard in her first driving lesson.

As a result, she lost control of the motorcycle and hit a wall with the motorcycle on a company site in Herrenberg.

The learner driver was thrown against a stone as a result of the force of the motorcycle.

Although she was wearing a helmet, police said she was so badly injured that she was taken to a clinic by helicopter, it said.

The motorcycle was therefore completely damaged in the impact on Wednesday.

The police put the amount of damage at around 5,000 euros.
