Erfurt (dpa / th) - According to the will of the Left, SPD and Greens, the Corona year 2021 should not be used to calculate the basic funding for adult education in Thuringia.
A corresponding bill by the red-red-green coalition factions was discussed by the Thuringian state parliament on Thursday.
“Without a corresponding regulation in the law on non-compliance for the year 2021, a hole would be torn in the coming years in the financing of offers for professional, linguistic, health-related, political, cultural and voluntary education work in adult education.
We want to prevent that, "said the left-wing MP Christian Schaft at the plenary session of the state parliament.
The background to this is that the calculation of the basic support for adult education primarily takes into account the hours of teaching in previous years.
In 2020 and 2021, however, there were hardly any classes due to the corona pandemic.
The year 2020 had already been crossed out by Parliament for this calculation.
