Hann.Münden (dpa / lni) - In the small town of Hann.Münden in southern Lower Saxony, there will be a night curfew from this Thursday (May 6) due to the large number of new corona infections.

The health department for the city and the district of Göttingen ordered this measure for the first time.

The incidence in the place near the border with Hesse and Thuringia was 351.0 on Thursday, as Göttingen's city spokesman Dominik Kimyon said.

It is a diffuse infection process without specific outbreaks.

However, it was noticeable that in the past few weeks many people have met, sometimes in larger groups, in the evenings and at night - some also to celebrate.

This is now supposed to stop the curfew from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

It is initially only valid in the city center of Hann.Münden until May 12th.

The entire district of Göttingen has so far got through the third wave of the pandemic without the federal emergency brake.

As of Thursday, the county's seven-day incidence was 89.9.

In the course of the federal emergency brake, there is a curfew in counties and urban districts, in which the seven-day incidence is over 100.
