According to Hong Kong media such as Dong Mang on the 6th, Julie Fang (70), mother of Hong Kong supermodel Rosemary Vandenbrook (40), was caught in voice phishing by people who pretended to be officials in mainland China, and received HK$20 million (about 2.9 billion won). I sent money to scammers.



The scammers called Pang on the 18th of last month and told him that Pang did money laundering and told him to pass all the bank account information, including the password, to the investigation.



They also instructed them to keep it a secret.



Fang handed over seven bank account information, and later found that HK$20 million had been removed from the account.



Fang, feeling belatedly deceived, reported to the police on the 16th.



Fang married a Frenchman in the 1980s and gave birth to Bandenbrook.



He, who ran the lingerie business, divorced in 2007 and broke the news in 2010 with his ex-husband in a lawsuit for splitting a property worth HK$65 million (approximately 9.4 billion won).



Bandenbrook debuted at the age of 14 and worked as a model, actor, and singer.



Meanwhile, last month, a 90-year-old rich grandmother in Hong Kong was informed of the largest voice phishing incident in Hong Kong, with a whopping KRW 365 billion.



This grandmother was also caught in the voice phishing of those who pretended to be Chinese public security.



Citing police data, Dong Mang said that 1,193 voice phishing incidents occurred in Hong Kong last year, of which 15 were approached by those who pretended to be Chinese officials for violating the Hong Kong National Security Law (Hong Kong Security Law).
