May 06, 2021 Joshua Wong was sentenced to 10 months in prison for participating in the vigil on June 4, 2020 in memory of the victims of the Tiananmen Square repression. One of the most well-known faces of the pro-democracy front of the former British colony, Wong is serving a prison sentence of 13.5 months for another unauthorized demonstration relating to the mass protests of 2019. pleaded guilty to the latest charges together with district councilors Lester Shum (sentenced to 6 months in prison), Tiffany Yuen and Jannelle Leung (4 months for both).
