Zuzenhausen (dpa / lsw) - Sebastian Hoeneß doesn't want to waste much thought on the inglorious first leg before TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's game against FC Schalke 04.

“It's not a nice memory,” admitted the 38-year-old coach on Thursday.

The Kraichgauer had ensured with the 0: 4 in Gelsenkirchen in January that Schalke could end their 30-game winless series.

On Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky), Hoffenheim can eliminate the very last doubts about staying in the Bundesliga against the relegated team.

"We are well advised to just be greedy and score again," said Hoeneß, whose team has been unbeaten in four games.

In addition to the long-term injuries such as captain Benjamin Hübner and Ermin Bicakcic, Havard Nordtveit (foot problems) and Munas Dabbur (private reasons) are also missing the remaining three games.

There is still a small question mark behind the use of the recently ailing Sebastian Rudy, Mijat Gacinovic, Kevin Vogt, Kevin Akpoguma and Georginio Rutter, according to Hoeneß, but the trend is positive.
