Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - Saarland's Prime Minister Tobias Hans (CDU) is also in favor of immediately approving Astrazeneca's corona vaccine for all those willing to vaccinate.
Hans said on Thursday in Saarbrücken that even those who are currently not yet entitled due to age, previous illness or occupation can voluntarily be vaccinated with the vaccine.
Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) had previously spoken out in favor of lifting the vaccination prioritization at Astrazeneca.
"The vaccination is a huge ray of hope for many people," said Hans.
He also received feedback from many Saarlanders that they would like to be vaccinated with Astrazeneca.
"It is clear to me that anyone who has been informed about the risks should be able to voluntarily choose this vaccine."
Since the supply in the case of a vaccine damage in Saarland has already been clarified in the same way as in other countries, the vaccine could then also be used in the vaccination centers for everyone who wanted it.
"The vaccination is and will remain the best protective shield against Corona - we shouldn't put any bureaucratic obstacles in the way of those who want to use it," said Hans.
