Cologne (dpa / lnw) - The North Rhine-Westphalian School Minister Yvonne Gebauer (FDP) hopes that all students will have at least some lessons in the classrooms before the summer vacation.
“It is currently impossible to predict how quickly the incidence will drop below 165 in all municipalities and districts in order to at least be able to offer alternating lessons.
But I very much hope to be able to bring all the children back to school at least temporarily before the summer holidays, ”said Gebauer in an interview with the“ Kölnische Rundschau ”(Thursday).
The federal emergency brake regulates that schools - with the exception of final classes and special needs schools - must go to distance learning from an incidence value of 165.
"I would not only have linked school closings to an incidence value," said Gebauer.
“In my opinion, there was a social consensus that we must open schools first and close last.
But the federal emergency brake shows that this is not the case. "
