The EU has shown itself to be open to talks about a temporary suspension of patent protection for corona vaccines.
Brussels is ready to discuss a US proposal, said EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a video message on Thursday.
"In the short term, however, we are calling on all vaccine-producing countries to allow exports."
