Starting Monday, people aged 50 and over will be able to get vaccinated.

Two days later, from Wednesday May 12, it will be the turn of all adults over 18 years old.

But on condition that there are unused doses left.

Because the objective of extending vaccination to all is to fight against the wasting of the remaining doses, following last minute withdrawals.

These doses were until now injected to people who try their luck by queuing in front of the vaccinodromes at the end of the day, and those who could not find takers unfortunately ended up in the trash.

Objective: 20 million people vaccinated by mid-May

From now on, it will be possible to make an appointment on the Doctolib site the day before to be vaccinated the next day.

And for those over 50, registration is open this Friday.

The other advantage of this new device is to reach the target of 20 million people vaccinated by mid-May, and 30 million by June 15.

So far, 16.4 million people have received one dose, and 7.3 million have had their two injections.
