Bremen (dpa / lni) - Bremen's head of government Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD) does not consider the Federal Government's decision to lift the contact restrictions and the curfew for fully vaccinated and convalescents to be sensible.

This regulation could become a real problem for social cohesion, said Bovenschulte on Thursday in a government statement in the Bremen citizenship.

That is why Bremen will abstain from voting on the bill in the Federal Council on Friday.

"I am seriously concerned that it will drive us apart if those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered from the curfew are released from the curfew while it still applies to everyone else," warned Bovenschulte.

Many would not understand that vaccinated people were allowed to celebrate with their vaccinated friends at a sociable barbecue evening until the morning, while non-vaccinated people were only allowed to leave their apartment from 10 p.m. to play sports and from midnight onwards.
