Karlsruhe (dpa) - On July 1, the Federal Court of Justice will judge a court-ordered confiscation of 11.1 million euros from the weapons manufacturer Sig Sauer.

The BGH announced this on Thursday at the end of the hearing in Karlsruhe.

The highest German criminal court has appealed against a judgment of the Kiel regional court by three companies of the company (Az. 3 StR 518/19).

They oppose the collection of the millions that the court saw as profits from illegal arms shipments to Colombia.

In April 2019, the district court imposed suspended sentences and high fines on three defendants for the unauthorized delivery of pistols via the United States to Colombia.

It was seen as proven that the former managing directors of the Eckernförde location were responsible for exporting more than 47,000 pistols of the SP 2022 type to a sister company in the USA between 2009 and 2011. More than 38,000 of these weapons were shipped to Colombia resold.

The revision negotiation is now about the ordered collection of the million profit.
