Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Before the vaccination starts in the company, the pressure from company doctors on the state's Ministry of Health is growing.

It is “the main task now to create the organizational preparations for mass vaccinations,” said Stephan Schlosser, the state chairman of the professional association VDBW (Association of German Company and Company Doctors), the “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” and the “Stuttgarter Zeitung” (Thursday).

Key points would have to be decided quickly in order to cope with the hoped-for increase in the amount of vaccine to a total of one million vaccine doses per week.

“This is a huge logistical challenge and cannot be tackled on the side,” said Schlosser.

He called on the country to increase the pressure on the federal government. Many companies worried that the framework would not be clarified until the vaccine was available. These included questions about how to obtain vaccines and syringes as well as the type of vaccine, which in turn depends on the size of the ampoule and the scheduling. According to newspapers, the digital documentation has not been clarified either. The Baden-Wuerttemberg association represents around 600 medical professionals and thus around 60 percent of the company and company doctors in the state.

According to a decision by the state government, twelve other companies in the southwest should be able to have some of their employees vaccinated against Corona by mid-May after two model projects that have already been started.

One company was selected from each of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry districts in the country.

Parts of the model project include a medical technology company, a bakery and Stuttgart Airport.

The resident doctors and company doctors will start vaccinating from the beginning of June according to the plans of the state and federal government.

Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) has repeatedly asked the federal government to provide Baden-Württemberg with more vaccines in May and June.
