Paderborn / Delbrück (dpa / lnw) - After five outbreaks of avian influenza in the Paderborn district in March and April, the district will also lift the last restricted area from Friday.
Clinical examinations had not revealed any further abnormalities in the restricted area in Delbrück, the district announced on Thursday.
Nevertheless, some restrictions, for example for animal transport and the obligation to keep animals, remained in force for the time being.
536 poultry farms in the district are still being observed.
A total of around 315,000 chickens had been killed as a result of outbreaks of the contagious disease.
