After refusing the question during this morning's press conference about the interim result, Martin Tivéus announces that he is returning the bonus he received for last year.

- I have been thinking about this for a while and I am not insensitive in the ongoing debate, says Martin Tivéus, to TT.

To scholarship

It is in the light of recent writings that he has decided to donate his compensation to Attendo's development scholarship for health and care staff, which employees can apply for, for example, for further training.

He also says that he should have refused to accept the bonus from the beginning.

- I understand that it is striking, especially during this year with the pandemic, and that many who have worked hard have not received this.

Now the money goes to our employees, says Martin Tivéus.

In total, the President and Group Management's bonus amounted to 4.8 million for 2020, an increase of 98 percent compared with the previous year.

At the same time as the company received more than SEK 130 million in support from the state.

- This is my personal decision that I make in light of the fact that I as CEO in this debate will be a symbol of greed, and I am not.

Exceptional year

For Martin Tivéus, this is a total of SEK 1.9 million before tax, after tax SEK 822,000, which he now pays into the Group's development scholarship.

However, he does not want to answer how he will do with a possible bonus this year.

- It's too early. The corona situation last year was exceptional, says Martin Tivéus.
