The first alarm came at 02.38 when something exploded on Docentgatan in Malmö.
Then, at 02:51, the police receive a call about an explosion outside a gate to an apartment building on Nydalavägen.
All residents in the stairwell had to be evacuated and taken to a nearby preschool.
At 03:19, the third and final alarm came, then about an explosion in a store on Sörbäcksgatan with several callers who heard a loud bang.
Looking at connections
The police say they do not know what it is that has exploded, but state that they are working on the hypothesis that the explosions may have a connection.
- It is too early to say, but of course we are looking at it because they happened so close in time, said Jimmy Modin, spokesman for the police, on Thursday morning.
