Greifswald (dpa / mv) - The 30th Nordic Sound Festival begins this Friday on the Internet and all of its events will take place virtually due to corona until May 22nd.

Eight digital readings, colloquia and concerts will be offered, which will be supplemented by campaigns, interviews and concert recordings from the past 30 years on the festival's social media channels, as the organizers announced on Thursday.

The online program is free and accessible without registration.

At the beginning, on Friday, 7 p.m., a film for the 30th anniversary of Nordic sound is to be broadcast as a video premiere on the festival's YouTube channel.

A literary colloquium on Monday will deal with the aesthetics of Nordic Protestantism.

On Wednesday, a storytelling morning with the children's non-fiction author Maja Nielsen on the Vikings has been announced and a reading on the cultural history of Finland with the historian Bernd Wegner has been announced for May 20th.

Another event will focus on the Russian city of Vyborg.

Among other things, a short film on German traces in the city has been announced.
