People over 75 have been able to benefit from Covid vaccines for several weeks, but some do not, sometimes out of ignorance.

In Lille as in other cities, the CPAM wants to remedy the problems by contacting vulnerable people to help them find an appointment.

REPORTAGE

The public authorities have one goal: to achieve at least 80% vaccination in people over 75 years old, a rate that has not yet been reached.

To ensure that all people in this age group have access to the Covid vaccine, Social Security has set up call platforms to contact elderly people who are isolated or who do not have access to digital tools. .

In Lille, the mobilization is not weakening at the CPAM in order to offer a local solution to those who wish it.

Dedicated slots

Calling dependent elderly people who have not been vaccinated is the daily life of those who, like Dorothée, a social security nurse, are mobilized for the "Go to" operation.

At the end of the line, people over 75 or their loved ones.

Dorothée's job is to offer them, if they wish, a vaccination window among those dedicated to the operation.

The daughter of the dependent octogenarian who replies to him explains that she had "already looked at Doctolib to have him vaccinated", but without success.

Faced with this, Dorothée has a solution.

"I have the possibility of offering you appointments at the vaccination center which is at the Zenith in Lille."

In total, a dozen vaccination centers in the Lille area, as well as mobile vaccination devices, offer these slots.

Soon 80% of vaccinated in the age group

The important thing is to offer a local solution, explains Milana Sisamouth, deputy director of CPAM Lille.

"It is an elderly population who does not want to travel and do a lot of kilometers to be vaccinated. They want to be vaccinated near their home and today, it is possible."

A success, since this operation made it possible to reach almost 80% of vaccinated among those over 75 years old in the metropolis.

There remain those whom the organization cannot reach or who are still hesitating.

The deputy director of the CPAM considers that any contact is beneficial.

"Even if, sometimes, we can't get a date because the person needs to think, the fact remains that there was an exchange. The person appreciates this exchange. She tells us that ' she will discuss it with those close to her, with her attending physician, "says Milana Sisamouth.

"And behind, we can not measure it, but it can lead to a meeting later," she explains, confident.

The device should be maintained and oriented towards the population under 75 years of age in the coming weeks.
