In his appeal to the administrative court, he writes, among other things, that all members could not see each other during the entire meeting and that the technology did not work, there were constant interruptions, bad sound and frozen image.

This was the first time that the municipal council in Härjedalen met digitally and it was a long meeting, the webcast was over eight hours.

Vote to cancel

During the meeting, several members pointed out the problems and after just over five hours, they voted on whether to continue or cancel to resume the meeting two days later.

After all, with a large majority, they chose to continue.

- According to the conditions, it went well from the beginning, but then members fell out and we had to contact them again and the longer the time passed, the more it swayed, says council chairman Pernilla Heijdenbeck Persson (S).

The case of the Administrative Court

Ted Länsberg now wants the Administrative Court in Härnösand to examine whether "the meeting has been conducted in accordance with current rules and in a democratic manner".

The municipality of Härjedalen must now comment to the administrative court before they make their decision.
