China News Service, May 5th. According to Kyodo News Agency of Japan, the court of Ismailia in northeastern Egypt made a ruling on the 4th regarding the large container freighter "Nagagi" that was stranded on the Suez Canal in Egypt. The ship stayed in the canal until the compensation was negotiated and the decision was appropriate, and the objection raised by Japan's Masei Steamboat to restart the voyage was rejected.

On March 29, local time, the heavy cargo ship stranded in the Suez Canal has been out of trouble, and the canal traffic will gradually resume.

Satellite pictures show a heavy cargo ship fully floating.

According to reports, the Ismailia City Court in Egypt held a hearing on the same day.

After hearing the appeal application of the shipowner’s lawyers on the arrest decision, the court finally rejected its appeal application for lifting the arrest of the cargo ship.

The heavy freighter "Longci" flying the Panamanian flag ran aground on the new channel of the Suez Canal on March 23, causing a blockage of the channel.

After several consecutive days of rescue, the stranded freighter successfully lifted off on March 29.

The Suez Canal Authority stated in mid-April that it would detain the "Longci" until it paid 900 million US dollars in compensation.

It is reported that the Japanese shipowner of the "Nagagi", the insurance company and the canal authorities have negotiated compensation for damages.

However, negotiations on the amount of compensation proposed by the Canal Bureau have been difficult.

The results of the investigation into the cause of the stranding carried out by the Canal Bureau have not yet been announced, and the freighter cannot restart its voyage.
