The care assistant Stine Christophersen was called to Attendo's head office after she submitted information to Expressen in the spring of 2020 and alerted about shortcomings in infection control at her workplace at the Sabbatsbergsbyn nursing home in Stockholm during the ongoing corona pandemic, Ekot was able to reveal last week.

Prosecutors will now examine the incident and assess whether the handling by the Atteno Chiefs may be criminal based on the message protection legislation.

Recorded the meeting

With her phone, Stine Christophersen recorded the meeting with the representatives of Attendo.

In the recordings, you can hear how the bosses call her disloyal and accuse her of spreading false information.

She is given a reminder stating that she risks dismissal if she does something similar again.

Chief Prosecutor Anders Hirsch at Norrort's Public Prosecutor's Office has now asked the police to write a police report of a violation of the law on message protection in individual activities.

- I have taken note of it and handed it over to the police to draw up a report.

Then a prosecutor will examine it and decide whether a preliminary investigation should be initiated, he tells Ekot.

None of those who represented Attendo wanted to appear in an interview with Ekot about what happened at the meeting. One of the participants has replied in writing and believes that he has not violated the prohibition on retaliation in the Media Protection Act and has not asked questions in order to investigate the source, according to Ekot.
