Events The Mossos detain six people in Barcelona for a sexual assault
The Court of Instruction number 1 of Santa Coloma de Gramenet has ordered provisional imprisonment, communicated and without bail, for five of the six detained by the Mossos d'Esquadra last Monday for their relationship with two multiple sexual assaults on two women in Santa Coloma from Gramenet on April 23rd. They are charged with the crime of sexual assault. The sixth one arrested by the police was provisionally released, with the precautionary measures withdrawing his passport, prohibition of obtaining a new one and prohibition of leaving the country, since he is being investigated for failure to report a crime.
Throughout the day the judge took statements from the detainees and conducted 18 reconnaissance rounds: six for each of the two victims, who are of legal age, and another six for the witness who appears in the case.
In addition, it has issued six protection orders for the victims, which imply an obligation for the investigated to be held incommunicado with them by any means and distance.
The case will continue in this court.
The arrests took place last Monday by the Central Unit for Sexual Assaults of the Mossos d'Esquadra in the Trinitat Nova neighborhood of Barcelona.
