Just before the Stockholm region issued the announcement that phase 4 would begin, Doktor24, which is responsible for one of the vaccine clinics, had not been notified of the decision.

- I only have the information that is in the media.

It would have been good with a little foresight so that we could have scaled up the capacity, says Sara Dannborg, communications manager at Doctor 24.

"A little strange"

Kry, which has two clinics for covid-19 vaccination in the Stockholm region, also did not receive the information before the news went out.

- We have a good and continuous dialogue with the Stockholm region and have known that the next phase is about to start.

But we have not received information about this before it came to the media, which is a bit strange of course, says Jonas Beltrame-Linné, press manager at Kry.

The region's responsible, vaccine coordinator Magnus Thyberg, writes in an email to TT that the vaccination companies received information about the decision at about the same time as the news went out, as the decision was not made until shortly before.

Large deliveries

The reason for this was that the region wanted to wait for technical tests of the app Always Open, which was done during the night until Wednesday.

- It is clear that it would have been appropriate for them to receive prior information in order to be able to prepare, but this time it did not happen, he says.

According to the Health Region Regional Councilor Anna Starbrink (L), the Stockholm region can currently vaccinate 75,000 people a week.

She hopes that the number can be increased - which the vaccinators also state is clear if they get enough vaccine.

According to the Public Health Agency's forecast, the Stockholm region will receive over 176,000 doses this week and 96,000 next week.

In other words, far more than the 75,000 people who currently have the capacity to vaccinate.
