Earlier Khusnullin said that the authorities expect to start drilling wells in the Sea of ​​Azov in July to provide the Crimea with fresh water.

Also, the Crimean authorities said that the potential of aquifers under the bottom of the Sea of ​​Azov is being studied. 

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Yevgeny Kabanov, a number of underground fresh water deposits are being developed at the same time in the Bakhchisarai and Simferopol regions.
