Kiel (dpa / lno) - A Kiel IT expert has procured appointments for corona vaccinations for several Schleswig-Holsteiners and thus caused the Ministry of Health to worry.

So far he has arranged 52 appointments for a fee, said 28-year-old Sören Hergel of the German Press Agency on Wednesday.

Several media had previously reported.

He uses software to get the appointments on the country's website.

The ministry is now examining an ad.

"Entering data from third parties with the help of software influences the data processing process," said the ministry.

This would harm other people who would be excluded from assigning vaccination appointments due to the acceleration of data entry via the software solution.

In addition, the commercially offered software solution undermines the principle of free appointment bookings.

The more people use these services, the more the opportunity to book appointments free of charge is reduced.

"The barriers to access are getting higher, the entire appointment booking through such software solutions and services loses its free character."

Hergel said he would fight back against the ministry.

He had many other requests for appointment bookings.

Hergel offered his service through a classifieds portal.
