Dormagen (dpa / lnw) - Two men masked with balaclavas pretended to be police officers and tried to rob a driver in Dormagen.

A police spokesman said on Wednesday in Neuss that the words "Police" could be read on their dark blue sweaters.

There was also a blue light on their black car when they passed their victim on Tuesday evening and asked them to stop.

The men apparently carried pistols on their belts.

The victim had to kneel while one of the fake police officers searched the car - allegedly for drugs.

With screeching tires, but without loot, the wrong civil investigators then piled up.

What they were looking for remained unclear.

A Cologne license plate was attached to her car.
