May 05, 2021 The prosecutor of Marsala has ordered new investigations on the disappearance of Denise Pipitone to verify the revelations that have emerged in recent days.

Also looking for suspicious masonry work inside the house where Anna Corona lived, mother of half-sister Jessica Pulizzi and ex-wife of the child's father who disappeared from Mazara del Vallo on 1 September 2004.

In these hours the carabinieri of the Mazara del Vallo station and of the Operational Department of Trapani carried out an inspection inside the house in via Pirandello, also to verify a macabre report, with respect to the presence of the corpse of little Denise, hidden by a purpose built wall. The aim of the Arma military is also to find the existence of a trap door that would lead to a basement in the house of Anna Corona's mother, which would never have been inspected, as reported by some media.

During the investigation, the entire house in via Pirandello was searched, which for years has no longer been within the woman's availability and was purchased by a family living abroad.

The investigation was ordered by the chief prosecutor Vincenzo Pantaleo and by the substitutes Roberto Piscitello and Giuliana Rana, who in recent days listened to brief information from the former prosecutor Maria Angioni, owner of the first investigations into the disappearance of little Denise and now in service in Sassari. A few days ago the Marsala Prosecutor's Office reopened the investigation into Denise's disappearance.
